Y/n thought he was the last timelord. He had been dropped on earth when his parents had noticed the tension between races before the time war had begun when he was still a child in his first regeneration and before he chose his name. Growing up with very little information about the stars he had joined Torchwood, learning as much as he could while waiting for the one that Captain Jack called "The Doctor". He knew it was a Timelord. It was hard to get any information from Jack about him but a quick telepathic link fixed that. Of course that didn't come without some visions of his appearance.
